This precis was taken from the cover sheet of the final draft of the Hervey Bay BUG club development plan. Note that action P4 looked towards a Fraser Coast view of recreational cycling- one action arising from this has been renaming the club as Fraser Coast Bicycle User Group.

Since 2004 the Fraser Coast BUG has advocated the redevelopment of the old rail corridor from Colton to Urangan Pier as a rail trail.
